This site is about DIY (Do It Yourself) Clothing and Crafts. I'm a self-taught seamstress and crafter, and all it takes to learn almost any craft
is a little bit of practice, time, and creativity. Don't get
discouraged if your first few projects don't turn out perfect... every
mistake (hopefully) leads to a new lesson learned! Grab a pair of scissors
and an old t-shirt and get crafting!

My goal for this site is to provide a free resource for crafters. If you're new to WhatTheCraft, here are some things you might want to take a look at!
- This site is constantly being updated with new tutorials, resources for the directory, and articles, so check back often!
- The tutorial section features over 30 step-by-step sewing and craft tutorials- check out some of the most popular tutes like how to make a circle skirt, turn a t-shirt into a no-sew halter top, and more! Most (but not all) of the tutorials are sewing related, with a lot of them relating to reconstructing t-shirts.
- If you're brand new to sewing, you might want to check out some of the tips in Sewing Basics before you start cutting and basting. Or check out the No-Sew diy ideas.
